I love planning and decorating a good theme party, but going to those
parties well, that’s a little different.
ABOUT
Hi! My name is Amy and I live in Arizona with my husband, Patrick, and our son. I love to plan and decorate parties and events. My husband loves to help make my party visions come true. We started when we planned our wedding together over 15 years ago. He was just as active and involved in the planning as I was. Luckily, we both had the same vision and in the end we loved all of the choices we made. When our son was born a few years later, birthday parties began to be a fun way for me to express my love for a good theme party. We did 1st year, construction themed, superhero themed, pretty much anything that was boy themed we made into a party.However, a few years ago I was beginning to be asked to create and decorate for larger and more elaborate parties and events. I was up for the challenge, my husband was a little more reluctant to go along with all my ideas, but all I had to do was start staying things like “power tools” and “nail guns” and he was on board. We love to create unique items for each of our parties and/or events, items that we can reuse and re-purpose for future parties and/or events.So why the introverted party planner? Well that’s easy, I am your traditional introvert. I dislike too much attention and am usually the one standing in the corner, or is hovering over the food table avoiding eye contact at parties. I do have small burst of extrovertedness at parties but it’s usually short lived. Typically, once the party gets started I retreat to a familiar face and stay put, then once the party is over it takes a good day or two to re-energize before I can people again.
