Carnivals are so much fun and not just for little kids. Kids of all ages including adults love to play carnival games. And while playing carnival games is fun, everyone likes an opportunity to win a prize big or small! When I put together our fall carnival I needed prizes but with a small budget I had to make sure the prizes where cost efficient. Our carnival was on the small side with around 100-150 people so buying bulk prizes for large warehouses was not an option. Luckily, Amazon had some great options as well as Walmart, and places like Costco. Below are the carnival prizes I found and where you can find them too.
When I was looking for prizes I started with the thought that every game play the player would get a prize. So we began by getting lots of bags of CANDY, every time a game was played the player would get one piece of candy. Each booth got a basket with a variety of candy. I got lots of great baskets from our local Dollar Store and the candy we got from Costco and Sams Club. It was fall at the time so Halloween candy was easy to come by. At the end of the night we only had a few handfuls left.
Each game had How to Play and How to Win signs posted; with most games having 3 prize levels. The first level was for any game play - the player would get a piece of candy whether they won or not. The next level was a medium prize which varied depending on the game or booth and was anything from a larger candy like a Push Pop to small stuffed animals. For the third level which was the large prizes the player had to win big - it was intentionally hard to win but we still made sure it was winnable. By the end, all of our large prizes were won.
This spinning target game was a big hit and so were the prizes. The meduim prize for this game were these LED flying slingshot. 50 for $12 was perfect for my budget. For the large prize for this carnival game we had these blow up guitars. At around $10 for 6 it was will worth the value. The size of these were great to display.
This knock-the-can carnival game had a fun spin by using these slingshot chickens instead of a ball to knock the cans down. The meduim prize for this game carnival was easy - a slingshot chicken of their own to take home. For the large prize we got teddy bears similar to these. Being able to buy a small bulk amount was a big help and it cost around $7 a piece.
Ring Toss was one of our harder carnival games to play. But the kids kept coming back because they were determined to win one of these dinosaurs. The meduim prize for this game carnival were these space theme stress balls. For the large prize we got these blow up dinosaurs. Once blown up these dinosaurs were large and colorful. At around $5 a piece they were very affordable.
Rung Ringer was our ladder toss carnival game. This simple game was fun to play. The meduim prize for this game carnival were these invisible ink party favors. For the large prize we got these blow up goldfish. They come in packs of 4 which works out to less than $5 a piece. The colors were great plus who doesn’t want a chance to win a goldfish at a carnival.
Ping Pong Pond was our cup toss carnival game. The meduim prize for this game carnival were these funny stress balls. For the large prize we got these cute stuffed animals from Walmart. They cost around $5 a piece and I was able to pick them up in the store.
The below prizes we used for our smaller games including the Pumpkin Punch, Decorate a Pumpkin, and Duck Pond.
Bucket Bounce was our space themed bucket toss game. The meduim prize for this game carnival was these adoable snack food plushiestoys. For the large prize we got these large bouncy balls. I picked these up from Walmart for around $2 a piece.
